The modeling of the north side of the field is nearly complete! I’ve been dialing in a group of buildings, including the checkerboard “Nantucket” hangar. Next stop: the main terminal.

Hi Bill – looks great!
Wow Bill…looks so realistic and that is my first view of the gas station and Ocean Wing building as well.
I just wish I didn’t get pessimistic feelings about frame-rates when I see this sort of detail. Although I’m sure you’re using your considerable skills to minimise that 😉
The beauty of Nantucket is that it’s an island, far enough away from the mainland that only the immediately surrounding autogen and terrain are loaded into memory, giving me more headroom to add details without overloading the sim. So far in testing, the frame rate impact is minimal.
Looks beautiful Bill! So looking forward to this realistic field I have spent so much time working at. Cheers
Been looking forward to this one for a while……still planning on a Sandpiper Air?? I’ve got my “Wings” dvd’s ready to go…
All the Best,
I hope you are well. The hangar work looks amazing! Keep up the great work!

Don Paquette flies to Nanatucket once a week from Plum Island.. If you need any more photos he’ll be glad to take them. This is a great enterprize. The Northeast is way overdue for airports. Except for you 2B2 there’s nothing much else.
Thanks, Bob. It’s good to hear from you!
This one is great Bill and another link in the chain on the North East Coast.
Next post: Nantucket is one big step closer to done!
