Herons Nest crazy mesh

Post by Blizz » Mon Jan 02, 2017 3:37 pm

I just wanted to take a short flight from Heron´s Nest and crashed trying to takeoff. Please see the attached file. I deleted the folder, downloaded again, installed, put it at the top of the scenery library, but still the same.
Any ideas anybody?
Thanks

The mesh conflict between the Heron's Nest and other third-party meshes has been noted. We're working on a fix for it, and will announce here once it's ready.

FS Global 2010 works quiet nice, but FS Global Ultimate NG shows this crazy mesh issue. :?

We're working on a whole new mesh for the island. As it turns out, the default mesh is much more dramatic than reality. Working on a compromise between the two now. ;)

Hi Bill, even Herons Nest v2 has mesh problems using FS Global Ultimate NG. Any ideas for solving this issue? Thanks a lot for your help!

I can't see the problem. Can you point it out with some other shots?

I'll do this later this afternoon, Bill. But it is quiet the same like in the first picture in this thread posted by Blizz: a steep hill on the left side of the runway with the 3 crosses on top and a small hill on the right side in front of the two houses.

If you're seeing a steep hill on both ends of the runway, you don't have version 2 installed, or at least not properly. The whole island is a single 3D mesh now, with a flatten beneath it. The only thing under the island is the plateau caused by the AFCAD file at the parking area by the hangar.

Got the new Nest.
I like it. No more bent props, and the path down to the dock is a nice touch, great to use when bringing up 'stuff' for the weekend.
Thanks. CJ. :)

Oh, my fault! Yes, my scenery.cfg pointed to the old Heron's Nest location. I've changed it and now the island works perfect. Like the dolphins...
