Re: Can't Install SODE For Heron's Nest V2

Interesting, Tom. It all makes sense, but problems like this can be a pain to diagnose. Thanks for sharing your solution. By the way, for anyone who is interested in the nuts and bolts of installation, the problem with the scenery not getting added to the library is fairly simple as well. In the V2 ...

Yep, it's pretty silly. At least they fixed it in P3D. Thanks!

Re: Another SODE issue installing Heron

Now we're on the same page. No sir, It is not in that list. I have tried to manually "add Area" from there but to no avail. I can find the folder using the add Area button and when I click on the Heron's Nest folder the Directory line and scenery area title lines populate but once I click...

Re: Another SODE issue installing Heron

Yes, when I go into the folders using explorer I do see the files. 9 .bgl files in the Scenery folder and 26 files in the Texture folder. That's a good start. What I meant is if while in a flight you go to the top FS menu and choose "World > Scenery Library", do you see it in the list of ...

The first thing to look at is whether the scenery got added to the library properly. Do you see it in your library list?

Re: Another SODE issue installing Heron

Greetings! I seem to be having a similar problem but with FSX Steam edition instead. In the game I can see the SODE in the Add-ons tab but nothing mentioned above seems to work. I've completely removed and reinstalled the software for Heron. I have tried to reinstall the SODE manager and repair it....

SweetFX works with that fsc.cfg - Heron`s Nest is still a mess.
Kind regards Helmut

Re: Heron's Nest water runway problem

I've done a new version using another program to create it. In FSX SP2 it looks good to me. Give the attached file a try (after backing up your current version, of course). It should go into your sim's root folder, under iBlueYonder\Heron's Nest\Scenery. Let me know if that makes any difference for ...

Re: SODE has killed my SweetFX settings

Try using the attached fsx.cfg file. Back up your current fsx.cfg first, the replace it with this one. The only change I made was to add the two SimObject paths to SODE to the [Main] section.
